For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
Weather affects our moods...There is a light and maybe a weather-type disorder called Seasonal Affected Disorder which is related to our moods and how we feel...But specifically, it seems the sun is what helps raise our moods...After days of cloudiness and dreariness my mood can get low...I wonder in those cloudy days, when will the sun come out...But when the sun stays out it can lift my mood...It just feels better for me to get up and the morning sun be shining...
The Psalmist seems to speak of this thousand of years ago...He says in the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun...The sun is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course...The sun rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth...The sun is one of the many parts of heaven that declare the Glory of God...The heavens declare the Glory of God and the sky is His handiwork...Everyday nature pours forth His Creation and His Work...
