Psalm 19:1-6
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
God can be seen in many things...He can be seen in the trees and the stars...The sun and the lilies in the field...He can be seen in all of nature, because He created nature...We can see God in the running deer, and hear Him in the song of the birds in the trees...
Nature speaks, yet has no language...Nature has no speech...Mother Nature uses no words; and so no words are heard from her...Yet Mother Nature's voice goes out all over the earth, her words go to the ends of the world...Mother Nature declares the Glory of God...In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun...Nature is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course...The sun rises each day at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of the sun's warmth...
The sky and the sun are reminders that God is near...We see and hear God in these things...The heavens declare the glory of God; the sun and the skies proclaim the work of His hands...
