Visual supports are concrete cues that are paired with, or used in place of, a verbal cue to provide the learner with information about a routine, activity, behavioral expectation, or skill demonstration. There are three types of visual supports (boundaries, cues, and schedules) and this evidence-based practice is highly effective in supporting young children.
Participants in Preschool SDI will be able to:
Identify different types of visual supports and why they are important.
Design effective visual supports matched to the learner’s needs.
