Dr. Kristie Pretti-Frontczak provides knowledge, insights and tools for writing meaningful IEP goals that are aligned to the learner's needs and will ensure access, participation, and progress in daily routines and activities.
Participants in Preschool SDI will be able to:
List and describe how the “four filters” can be used for generating meaningful IEP goals.
Assess the extent to which IEP goals “pass” the four filters and are considered functional.
Define the term “functional” behaviors or skills and describe why they are important.
Describe how additional assessments and tools, such as the AEPS, may contribute to the process of Diagnose and writing meaningful IEP goals.
