Module 4

Observing and collecting information about a child's strengths, interests, and preferences is key to naturalistic instruction, designed to promote learning opportunities embedded in the naturally-occurring daily activities and routines.

Participants in Preschool SDI will be able to:

Describe why it is important to collect information about a child’s strengths, interests, and preferences.
Use a matrix or observation tool to collect information around a child’s strengths, interests, and preferences.
Describe how the information collected could be used in SDI.
