Module 2

The DEC Recommended Practices bridge the gap between research and practice by highlighting those practices that have been shown to result in better outcomes for young children (birth to age 5) with developmental delays and disabilities (including those at-risk), their families, and the personnel who serve them.

Participants in Preschool SDI will be able to:

Explain the purpose of the DEC Practices and how they relate to the SDI Framework.
Explain how the DEC Recommended Practices are organized.
Discuss one topic area of the DEC Recommended Practices and how it relates to your teaching, routines, and individualized instruction.
