About me

I was in education for 20 years. I restarted university and I study in sciences (genetics/embryology and particle physics). I have also a big interest for bookbinding and restoration of very old books in sciences...

I take the time to observe the world around me and not to trust appearances...

Two Citizenships (Canadian & French), and former American resident in Silicon Valley (U.S. visa O category...), I feel like a World Citizen! I spent almost as much time in Europe as in North America.

It took me a while to get involved in science...I remember once when I was 8 years old, I hid to be quiet in the painting workshop at the bottom of the garden, and read the biography of the physicist Marie Curie. A great revelation for this age so young. Today I still have the picture of this great lady in my office. By the past my sons were homeschoolers/worldschoolers for four years (North America, Europe and Asia). This family project was inspired by the educational cooperative of Marie Curie.

At the adolescence I had my little rebellion...In grade 9, I was often in restraint time with the physics teacher (Thank you Mister H. because between us it was private lessons, no? To encourage me to go further? ;-).

I can never be a great physicist but I hope to encourage more girls to study in this field.

I have a microscope, a telescope and a photo camera in my handbag. I work in the Artificial Intelligence field.

In love with French cheese but I avoid looking at it under the microscope (there are limits not to exceed :-)

I do many experiments in optics (400 experiences in my portfolio...) and I learn from my mistakes. And as you known the error is human. If you see a mistake on the site you can contact me via Linkedin, nicely and with serious references, in English or French.

For me the arts and sciences are inseparable and I need both.

Fun fact: I am ambidextrous (with a preference for the left hand for thoroughness).

By the way you can't use my photos without permission (it is done on purpose that we can not enlarge them).  Thank you for your understanding.

You can listen this tune when you read this website: Lover of the Light or the soundtrack of the movie Cloud Atlas.
