Please contact the Rotation Director and Rotation Coordinator at least 4-5 weeks prior to the start of the rotation. Points of contact may be found under Rotation Information.
Please also complete the rotation paperwork below NLT 8 weeks in advance and submit to Castor.
About a week before the rotation please email Dr. Schneir at aschneir@health.ucsd.edu . Let him know when you are starting the rotation and can arrange an assigned journal club article as well as where to meet the first day.
They will email you prior to starting the rotation for required documents. You will need a TB test within 3 months of starting the rotation so plan accordingly.

There is a mandatory packet with questions for the rotation. It changes slightly every month so make sure you get the most updated version from Dr. Schneir. Attendings will answer questions throughout the rotation if you ask/topic comes up so have it with you hardcopy or on your computer when rotating to fill out.
PRESENTATION
There is a 10 min required presentation.
Please see the rotation packet for details.
If you are scheduled to rotate through UCSD, you can purchase the “D” parking permit for the 30 day/monthly rate, pay daily for the Arbor lot next to the Hillcrest hospital on Dove (Dove St, San Diego, CA 92103) for $5 for 3 hours, or take your chances with street parking.
You can apply for the permit and pay on the UCSD website:
You will need to create an account and then select the permit. The “D” permit gives you 30 days of parking at a rate of $2.16 per day (you have to pay $64.80 for the pass). That is what the command will reimburse you for. If you chose to do the pay per day rate, you could be charged either $4/day or $6/day and the command will not reimburse at that rate since there is a cheaper option available.
