NMCSD prides itself on being a high fidelity medical organization and is dedicated to providing high quality and safe patient care at all times. To this end, in addition to a robust M&M process reviewing patient cases, there are ongoing patient safety projects in the Emergency Department. In order to participate in QA/PS projects during residency (which is highly encouraged if not outright required for graduation), IHI modules must be completed and need to be renewed every 3 years. To participate in research (also encouraged) and obtain IRB approval, on-line training through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program as well. You can start or renew the required modules online via the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and through CITI Program. Please email your completed certificates to RPA Dominique Stansbury to upload to your portfolio.
