ROTATION OVERVIEW: (from Dr. Kitadai, summer 2024)
Dr Bromley (rotation director) is very helpful and able to be reached throughout the rotation. She asks for shift requests before the beginning of the block, please do not give her your whole requested schedule she just wants to know what specific days you might want/ need off for consideration as she builds your schedule. We also have attendings that work there and can share the staff schedule with you for consideration.
In person orientation Times:
7:30a for the 9:00a POD D shift
11:30a for the 1:00p POD B shift
12:30p for the 2:00p POD B shift
There is a mandatory in person orientation on the day of your first shift. During this time you will meet with Nadelle Hamby(nadelle.hamby@palomarhealth.org) and/or Tiffany Velazquez(tiffany.velazquez@palomarhealth.org) at the main entrance of the hospital at the security check in. They will assist in you in obtaining your badge, parking pass and will ensure you have access to Cerner. They schedule so I showed 1.5h early prior to my afternoon shift of the first day.
WHERE: Palomar Medical Center, 2185 Citracado Parkway, Escondido, Ca 92029
*Parking- You need to obtain a parking sticker when you pick up your
badge in the security office on your fist day. Park on the 5th or
6th floor to avoid receiving a ticket.
ID Badge:
This will be given to you on your first day when you meet with the physician onboarding team.
