You must submit leave in BOTH Medrez and NSIPS. Please assign the designated ACRs as a reviewer and the approver must be the current program director.
Need NSIPS Help?
Below are two contacts for NSIPS problems. The first contact is to NSIPS HQ and they will be able to troubleshoot with any NSIPS account related issues. The second contact is our HRD email distro list and they will be able to assist with reviewer/approver issues. Again for the new folks, if you are not fully gained there will be problems finding approvers/reviewers. Other problems can arise which need to be handled by NSIPS HQ or HRD. When you email HRD, ask them to add specific names to be reviewers/approvers.

You should receive a completed PG 13 for you to sign and send to the ACRs and Program Director to ensure that they are tracking on your approved OCONUS Leave Package in order for your NSIPS Leave Request to be approved.
You need a completed and signed PG13 that should be attached to your NSIPS Leave Request, this indicates that you have completed the above process and are approved for OCONUS travel.
NMCSD Home page -> command Tab -> (new) Command Security -> Oconus Travel brings you to this page: https://obiwan2.health.mil/nmcsd/dfa/Security/SitePages/OCONUS.aspx
The form OCONUS TRAVEL REQUEST FORM is found in the center/Top of the page. This is the only place to send/upload all of the required documents for the oconus travel checklist (checklist is found on the resident page and bottom right corner of oconus travel page).
- once you have logged into the sharepoint page and clicked on the oconus travel request form here you can upload your AT1, SERE 100.2, Isoprep completion form, SMART enrollment confirmation, IATP travel Tracker, APACS Profile confirmation, Lodging/flight information, Oconus Travel Checklist, Copy of passport and approved leave form. This will take 24-48 hours to generate a page 13 if there are no errors identified by the balboa security office. If you are traveling to a country that requires an in person brief they will set up a time to conduct that prior to generating your page 13.
- there are more forms required if traveling to asia/africa
- the balboa security office is located in building 26 where you obtain your command ID badges in the basement level 2B.
DO NOT SEND YOUR PAPER WORK TO THE DISTRO LIST. The email list is .mil and needs to be updated to .health as it won't go to their inbox and even when it does it will be rejected and you will be sent to upload it all on the command sharepoint.
