Contribution to Your Learning and the Learning Community
Throughout EDLD 5318, my contributions to my own learning and the learning community have played a significant role in my growth as a self-directed learner. This course has challenged me to engage deeply with the material, collaborate with my peers, and actively reflect on my progress. I believe I have earned a score of 90-100 based on the key and supporting contributions outlined in the self-assessment marking guide. One of the most impactful aspects of this course was collaborating with my learning community members, Kheila Williams and Ennija Armour. We consistently supported each other throughout the course by providing feedback, answering questions, and offering encouragement. We utilized FaceTime, Zoom, and GroupMe to communicate and help each other better understand assignments. This consistent communication created a supportive environment where we could clarify expectations and discuss ideas. A key area where this collaboration made a difference was during the Implementation Plan and Instructional Design assignments. Both assignments required thoughtful planning and attention to detail. My group members provided constructive feedback, which helped me revise my work and improve the overall quality of my submissions. Their insights allowed me to view my work from different perspectives, leading to a more comprehensive final product. I have consistently met the course activity deadlines and completed all required readings, videos, and supporting resources. This dedication has helped me gain a better understanding of the course material and apply it effectively to my assignments. I also made sure to revise my assignments based on feedback, reflecting on the changes in my contributions to the learning community. In addition to meeting deadlines, I actively participated in course discussions, sharing my thoughts and engaging with my peers' posts. I made sure to post my contributions in a timely manner, allowing others the opportunity to respond and engage in meaningful conversations. My posts demonstrated critical thinking and included research to support my ideas, cited appropriately in APA format. One area where I could improve is taking more of a leadership role within the group. While I contributed consistently, I would like to challenge myself to initiate more discussions and offer additional support to my group members. Overall, this course has taught me the importance of collaboration and self-reflection. The connections I built with my learning community have made a significant impact on my learning journey, and I am proud of the contributions I have made to both my own growth and the growth of others.
