Contribution to My Learning and the Learning Community: EDLD 5315
Throughout EDLD 5315, my contributions to both my own learning and our learning community have continued to shape my growth as a digital learner and reflective practitioner. I believe I have earned a score of 90–100, based on the self-assessment rubric, as I consistently engaged with the course material, supported my peers, and applied feedback to enhance my work.
A key part of this course was the development of our Literature Review and Action Research Plan, which challenged me to think critically about the impact of digital innovation in my classroom. I leaned into this challenge by collaborating regularly with my peers, particularly Kheila Williams and Ennija Armour. We used Zoom, FaceTime, and GroupMe to share resources, exchange feedback, and clarify expectations. This collaboration not only improved the quality of my assignments but also enriched my understanding of how to translate research into practice.
For example, during the Action Research Plan assignment, peer feedback helped me refocus and strengthen the connection between my innovation goals and measurable outcomes. My group members encouraged me to think more deeply about data collection strategies and how to make my plan meaningful for student growth. Their perspectives helped me refine my ideas and confidently move forward with a clear direction.
Throughout the course, I consistently met deadlines, engaged in online discussions, and revised my work based on feedback. I made sure to reference course materials and use APA format when applicable, and I participated in meaningful dialogue with my peers’ posts. I was intentional about applying insights from the readings and videos to my own classroom experience.
One area I continue to challenge myself in is stepping into more of a leadership role in collaborative spaces. While I provided steady support and feedback to my peers, I aim to be more proactive in initiating discussions and offering additional resources when possible.
Overall, EDLD 5315 helped me deepen my research mindset while staying connected to a community of thoughtful, driven educators. The work we’ve done together in this course has strengthened my confidence in using research to guide practice, and I’m proud of the contributions I’ve made to both my own learning and to the growth of others.
