PUBLICATION ROUGH DRAFT
This piece reflects on how integrating QR codes and blended learning strategies has enhanced the learning experience for two very different groups of students: 8th graders in a Peer Assistant Leadership (PALS) class and 7th graders in a Fine Arts class. QR codes are used to link students to resources like instructional videos, tutorials, and articles, which enrich face-to-face learning. In the Fine Arts class, QR codes provide on-the-spot video tutorials for art techniques, while in PALS, they offer leadership content. The use of QR codes promotes independent learning, engagement, and real-time application of skills. This approach supports cognitive processes like modeling, experimentation, and social interaction, making learning more interactive and accessible. The article aims to inspire other educators to incorporate blended learning and technology into their teaching methods.

CONTRIBUTION TO YOUR LEARNING AND THE LEARNING COMMUNITY
This reflection is about my experience in the EDLD 5317: Resources for Digital Environment course. It highlights my growth as a self-directed learner and collaborator within the course. I worked closely with two classmates, Khelia and Ennija, using tools like Zoom and GroupMe to stay connected and support each other. They actively participated in discussions, completed all course requirements, and contributed leadership within our group. The reflection also addresses areas for improvement, such as time management and expanding sources of information. Overall, the course reinforced the importance of collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuous improvement.
PUBLICATION FINAL
As a new teacher, I've been using QR codes and blended learning to enhance my 8th grade PALS and 7th grade Fine Arts classes. QR codes provide instant access to tutorials, videos, and resources, allowing students to learn at their own pace and apply concepts in real-time. In Fine Arts, students scan codes to access art technique videos, while in PALS, they use codes to learn leadership skills. By integrating QR codes, I’m able to engage students more effectively, promote independent learning, and support their development in a flexible, interactive way. I plan to continue using these strategies to enrich my teaching and share my experiences with other educators.
