1. New Culture of Learning
In my New Culture of Learning assignment, I talked about how technology can make learning more engaging and fun. I believe we need to change our teaching methods to support teamwork and creativity. By using tools like iPads and QR codes in the library, I hope to create a space where students can get involved in their own learning.
2. Learning Philosophy
My Learning Philosophy focuses on making education student-centered. I believe it’s important to encourage a growth mindset in students so they can become resilient and curious learners. In the library, I want to create an environment that inspires students to explore and use technology in their educational journey.
3. Learning Environment/Situational Factors Outline + 3 Column Table
In the Learning Environment/Situational Factors Outline, I identified what makes a good learning space. The 3 Column Table shows how the library will have both physical books and digital resources to meet different learning styles. By mixing traditional tools with digital ones, I want to give students many ways to engage and grow.
4. UbD Design Template
The UbD Design Template outlines my plan for how I’ll create learning experiences in the library. I use the Understanding by Design approach to make sure that learning goals match with activities and assessments. For example, I’ve designed fun activities like research projects and QR code scavenger hunts that help students learn while encouraging them not to give up when they face challenges.
5. Growth Mindset Plan
My Growth Mindset Plan highlights how I want to help students develop a growth mindset, especially when using technology. I will encourage students to face challenges with curiosity and not be afraid to make mistakes. By using engaging tech activities, I aim to create an environment where students feel empowered to take risks and learn.
To show how my mindset about growth has changed, I want to connect this plan to my earlier Growth Mindset Plan from EDLD 5302. In that assignment, I focused on resilience and the "yet" message. My current plan builds on these ideas and adds practical ways to use technology in the library.
