As I reflect on my experiences in the EDLD 5305 and EDLD 5302 courses, I recognize that I have made valuable contributions to both my classmates and the overall discussion posts. However, I also see areas where I can grow and enhance my skills further. Consequently, I would rate myself a 40/50 for EDLD 5305 and a 90 out of 100 an A for EDLD 5302. I engaged actively with my classmates and participated in all discussions both in the online forums and during Zoom meetings. I consistently attended Zoom meetings for both courses. While I didn’t always speak in every session, I absorbed a great deal from my professors and peers. I felt more vocal in breakout rooms during Zoom meetings, but I recognize the need to build my confidence to speak more during the main sessions. Public speaking and asking questions are areas where I aim to improve. In terms of collaboration, I provided resources, information, and feedback to my group. We held meetings on Monday’s and occasionally after class. We created a group chat for collaboration on assignments and peer reviews. Working with Khelia, Thaddeus, Patty Joseph, Melissa, Jelisa, and Fatih has been incredibly beneficial. I shared my portfolio and assignments with them and received valuable feedback that helped me enhance my work. I contributed a lot to the group chat and helped facilitate our meetings and discussions. While I acknowledge areas for improvement in my collaboration, I am committed to continuing to grow and contribute effectively. I welcomed feedback and revisions on my assignments in both courses. In EDLD 5302, I sought guidance from Dr. Harrison after receiving a grade that I aimed to improve. His feedback, including a helpful video, guided me in refining my assignments, which positively impacted my grade. Similarly, constructive feedback on my Innovation Proposal in EDLD 5305 allowed me to enhance my assignments. I recognize the need to further master APA formatting and citation, as this was my first experience with a literature review and required significant research. I completed most readings and videos for both courses and attended all meetings in EDLD 5305, though I missed one session in EDLD 5302. I reviewed the recording for the missed meeting to stay informed about my ePortfolio. Moving forward, I aim to develop more leadership skills and become more comfortable with class participation. I also intend to enhance my engagement in online discussions and responses to peers. Balancing two courses has been challenging, especially since I started the ADL program in June, but I appreciate the interconnectedness of the assignments, which allowed me to integrate learning from EDLD 5305 into my ePortfolio in EDLD 5302. Overall, I am proud of my contributions to my classmates and my learning journey. I look forward to improving my discussion skills, writing assignments, and classroom participation. As I gain more experience in the ADL program, which is project-based, I believe my hard work will be reflected in the results by the end of the program.
