Woodstock Poster Assignment

Assignment:

With a partner, create and draw a poster advertising the Woodstock Music Festival. Imagine that you're back in the 1960's. To make it appeal to the hippies, use groovy 60's fonts, peace signs & other symbols, and bright psychedelic colors. Include a large title advertising the festival and a list of at least ten of the bands performing. Be creative and have fun!

Include these on your poster:

  • "Woodstock" title in large letters
  • Date and location of the festival
  • At least 10 bands scheduled to perform

Grading:

  • Include all the elements asked above (5 points)
  • Effort: use 60's fonts, symbols and color to give the poster a "hippie" style (5 points)

Use these posters for inspiration:

Don't copy them, but use some of the elements in your own poster.

Fonts & Symbols:

Use these fonts to give your poster a "groovy" 60's look. Look online for more inspiration.
