Practice this song on your recorder. When you're ready, play it during or after class to earn your brown belt. Take your time and practice slowly. Use the track to keep your tempo steady.


  • Cover the F#, E and D notes with the pads of your fingers
  • If you squeak, you're either blowing too hard or leaking air from one of your fingers

New Note: High D

A high "D" is played by covering only your left middle finger hole. Even though you're not using your right hand to press down, support the recorder using your right thumb. Look at the fingering chart to the right:

New Symbol: "Fine" (pronounced "fee-nay")

When you get to the end of this song, repeat back to the beginning. Instead of repeating the entire song, stop when you reach the "Fine" symbol. That marks the end of the song.
