Genesis 2:18-25
A Man Shall Leave His Father and Mother and is United to His Wife, and They Become One Flesh
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man. ”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

The Greatest Commandment
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:
36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Matthew 19:1-12
Jesus on Marriage
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
10 The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”
When we are constantly thinking about ourselves, it is difficult to love...If are minds are focused only on ourselves, then we really do not need one to love...So lovers must think of their neighbors and love them...They must think less of themselves and more about God and neighbor...If the true lover loves his neighbor and his enemies then he follows what Jesus teaches...Jesus has forever linked God, neighbor, and love in His describing the Two Greatest Commandments...Jesus also said this about marriage, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?...So they are no longer two, but one flesh...Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”...
God at the beginning gave us marriage to help make the world a better place...Where each of us could live in harmony...This love in one's life goes a step further when one marries...A couple gives their vows, their word to the one they love...It is for a lifetime...And they are to love, honor, and obey each other in these vows until their deaths...And God is involved in marriage...God has joined them together...Marriage vows are usually expressed in an open way, with others sharing in the ceremony...They are very serious...When two get married they are vowed together and are to love one another for life, they are together with God until death parts them...God is with the couple and is helping them in loving, their problems and there staying together...There vows are not only apart of their marriage decision, but the ones they have invited and are there with them sharing their vows...These are some of the neighbors...And in these marriage vows one has have given themselves to their bride...And in these marriage vows the bride has given herself to the groom...At the very heart of one's vows is this great giving and sharing till death do they part from earth, with God and all their neighbors...This is the great fellowship of love for God, man, and his neighbor...This is the Great Fellowship of the World...
God is LOVE...And God wants the world to be full of love...Love makes the world better and love helps the person who is in love, love God, their spouse, and their neighbor's more...The happiness of God, your spouse, and your neighbor are are an essential part of your life...This is why the world needs love, and the world is better with love...
