Love God and Let His Purpose and Will Be Done
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Letting God's will be done is not easy, at least for me...And I know that in all things work toward the good of those who love God and are called according to His will...Yet, this is one of the most difficult things in my life, is to allow God always to work in me and in all the things of my life, and let His will be done, and do the things that He wants done, instead of me taking over and doing my will...I know it is wrong, and I know it keeps me sinful, by doing my will...What a wretched man I am...And when we abandon God's Will each of do our own thing and our own will...I think most of the day we just don't think about it and go about the day doing our own thing and our own will...We forget to bring God into our lives each day and each minute in that respect...
The Holy Spirit is in me doing His part, but different desires, family, and my other excuses get very much in the way...I pray and confess to Him, and ask for His forgiveness...My prayer is forgive me Father, I am a sinner - Jesus have mercy on me......I feel very much like the tax collector who stood at a distance...He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'....I am so glad Jesus and His Father have this verse about the tax collector and sinner in the Good Book for me -because it is very much about me...
