Matthew 18:1-5
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven
1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Is it possible children see beauty, and the beauty of things better than adults?...
Sometimes I think as we grow older we can over think things...Jesus being the Great Teacher sees this...As a child we can walk outside and view nature and see it as the Greatest Amusement Park that was ever created...As we age that changes, we might go outside and say I need to mow or trim that tree, or now I have to shovel snow...As an adult, I might be thinking to myself and saying yeah, I need to mow today, and I wish I did not have to trim the tree...As a child we see the grass and marvels at is color and greenness, we look at the large tree and wonders how he might climb it, and boy is that big...He sees the snow and sees all the fun and sliding and playing in it...
God has created the earth and made it for us to enjoy...There is beauty, joy, fun, and peace in this world through the eyes of a child...Somehow the child sees these things...As we age, the nature of man, seems to walk around with his eyes shut and missing these things that are sometimes all around us...
