Trust in the LORD
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Faith the Size of a Mustard Seed
20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Solomon in the Proverbs tells us to trust the LORD with all our heart, and lean not in our own understanding...And in all our ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight...
Belief and trust are two different things...Yet, the two things are very much related...Both words imply a confidence in another person, or confidence in Something or Someone...And when I think of myself, I think that I believe in God more than I trust Him...Do I completely trust God?...Do I follow Him, on everything I do in life?...I do not think so, yet I believe in Him...And this believing in Him more than trusting in Him is not necessarily a good thing...Believing in Someone without completely trusting one, seems to show a lack of something...And maybe that lack is a lack of faith...The Greek usually translated faith into the word trust...Belief, trust, confidence, and faith mix together -yet somehow they each are a little bit different...And Jesus teaches us that a little bit of somethings are very powerful...
So faith enters what our belief system...Our faith effects what we believe...To me, it seems we are so connected to this world, that we follow it more than we should, when we believe that Heaven and Another World exists...Things we can grasp and hold, sometimes seem easier to trust in than the eternal things that Jesus teaches us...Jesus was and is always teaching the eternities...And He teaches much about faith...Faith in the LORD comes small at first like the small mustard seed...And small faith can do so much...Maybe so does trusting in the LORD...Maybe small amounts of trust can also move mountains...Maybe things that seem difficult at first get easier and stronger with a growing faith and a growing trust...Faith gives me hope and courage, and I pray it will grow my trust...
I think that belief in Someone is spoken and talked about...I think that trust is more likely to take action...As trust grows, more actions take place...
