Mark 12:28-34
The Love Commandments
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.
There is nothing older than love, because the Ancient of Days is LOVE...And since God's Word is Truth, two of the oldest things in the universe is love and Truth...God wants us to seek Him with our minds using the knowledge we have of His Word and His LOVE...Truth and LOVE make life more abundant...And reason and logic help us seek and find Him...
God sent His Son to show us His LOVE for us...For God so LOVES the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life...For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him...Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in Him stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s One and Only Son...His Son is full of Grace and Truth...He is the Truth, the Way, and the Abundant Life...He is the Only Way to God...
When God has made us in His Own Image, we have the indwelt Holy Spirit of love and Truth...He has give us the ability to reason, and gain from the knowledge and intellect we have with logic in our thinking...Jesus has taught us the Two Greatest Commandments are to love God with all our mind, our hearts, and our souls...By using our minds, we depend not only on love and Truth, but our our reasoning and logic to seek and find Him...We love God when we love Him with our hearts and our souls, and our minds...
The Italian astronomer, physicist and engineer, Galileo said, “I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.”...
