Mark 12:28-31
The Greatest Commandment
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
The Greatest Commandment is Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength...The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself...Jesus says that there is no commandment greater than these...
A the great virtues in life, love is the most important...Love helps us through life, especially the hard times and in our trials...We need love in our life to help find reason and purpose...And so God is LOVE...
Martin Luther King wrote about the importance of love in life...He wrote, “Love yourself, if that means rational, healthy, and moral self-interest...You are commanded to do that...That is the length of life...Love your neighbor as you love yourself...You are commanded to do that... That is the breadth of life...But never forget that there is a first and even greater commandment, "Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and all thy soul and all thy mind."... This is the height of life...And when you do this you live the complete life.”...
