Even though salafis have no sahih Hadith saying that imam Mahdi AJ is from the progeny of imam al Hassan Al mujtaba AS, they still say this in their lectures with the sole purpose just to disagree with the Shias. So this post will show them how ignorant they are in analyzing the holy Quran for proof.
We have commanded the human to honour their parents. His mother bore him in aversion and delivered him in aversion. His bearing and weaning is thirty months. In time, when the child reaches their prime at the age of forty, he prays, “My Lord! Inspire me to be thankful for Your favours which You blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please You. And instil righteousness in my offspring. I truly repent to You, and I truly submit.” 46:15
I’m using This verse to indicate that Allah SWT focused on the progeny of imam Hussein AS. The first proof that this verse is about imam Hussein AS is the “30 months of bearing and weaning”
The holy Quran says:
And We have commanded people to ˹honour˺ their parents. Their mothers bore them through hardship upon hardship, and their weaning takes two years. So be grateful to Me and your parents. To Me is the final return. 31:14
So if the weaning takes 2 years (24 months), then that leaves 6/30 months for the bearing in the first verse. However, most woman bear the child for 9 months, not 6. However, the only humans who’s there mothers were pregnant for only 6 months were prophet Yahya AS and imam Hussein AS. However, prophet Yahya AS did not have any offspring. So that leaves only imam Hussein AS as the “human” referred to in this verse.
Otherwise, Salafis have to tell the world that the holy Quran made a mathematical mistake (astaghfirullah)
As for the “repenting” part. This does not invalidate infallibility since all Muslims narrate that the prophet SAWA did istighfar 70 times a day and imam Sajjad AS has a whole dua called “his dua in repenting” in his Sahifa
As for the “overlook their misdeeds” in the best verse, it is referring to the Shia of imam Hussein AS since first, the statement is plural while the verse before it was singular. And secondly, imam Hussein AS is like his grandfather the prophet SAWA:
And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allāh. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, and asked forgiveness of Allāh and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allāh Accepting of Repentance and Merciful. 4:64
And also a big proof this verse was specifically for imam Hussein AS is that both Sunni and Shia Hadiths say that 46:17 was specifically revealed on Abdulrahman ibn Abi Bakr so how come the verses before this one not be revealed on someone specific?
And this claim can be corroborated with this Hadith:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Husain is from me, and I am from Husain. Allah loves whoever loves Husain. Husain is a Sibt among the Asbat." [Asbat, plural of Sibt: A great tribe. Meaning, Al-Husain would have many offspring, such that they would become a great tribe. And this has indeed occurred. See Tuhfat Al-Ahwadhi (4/341).]
So we see here that the prophet SAWA is specifically focuses on the progeny of imam Hussein AS. And this should not be surprising since this isn’t the first time Allah SWT focused on the progeny of the younger Sibt:
And We blessed him and Isaac. And among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 37:113
Those were the prophets who Allah has blessed from among the descendants of Adam, and of those We carried with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those We guided and chose. Whenever the revelations of the Most Compassionate were recited to them, they fell down, prostrating and weeping. 19:58
The last prophet of Bani Israel is Isa ibn Maryam AS and the last imam from the progeny of imam Hussein AS is al Hujjah ibn al Hassan AJ
Both were born by miracle, both are alive in our current day, and both will play a huge role in the end of times. And both of their mothers SA are hated by those who went against them AS
Only that, one of them will pray behind the other:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said "How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and your imam is among you."
So this dua has something to do with imam Mahdi AJ always
and Do not take a life made sacred by Allah except with right. And Whom is killed unjustly, We have given his heir the authority, so he will not exceed limits in retaliation for he is truly supported. 17:33
Before I start, The Mukhalif ibn Katheer (in his tafseer) had the audacity to say that uthman was “killed unjustly” and that Muawiyah is his “wali/heir” thus he deserved caliphate. Which obviously is completely wrong
It is also important to mention that al Tabari said this verse has different “Huruf” (tahreef according to us) that Said: فلا تسرف في القتل
And said:
In the sense of the speech to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and what is meant by it is him and the imams after him
So first of all, imam Hussein AS was killed unjustly and that is agreed upon by all Muslims (unless Nawasib LA, those aren’t even Muslims). So who is his AS wali/heir?
It cannot be al Mukhtar RA, since he didn’t kill all of imam Hussein’s AS killers and was not from his family
And it cannot be Zayd ibn Ali Al Sajjad AS since he was martyred in the process and wasn’t given “the authority.”
So whom can avenge such a tragedy and martyred imam AS that made the prophet SAWA himself cry, in their Hadiths:
From imam Ali AS:
“Once when I went to the Prophet I saw tears in his eyes and asked him: O Messenger of Allah (S) who has made you upset? Why are your eyes moist with tears. He said: Bal qama min ‘indi Jibra’ilu qabl, fahaddathani anna al-Husayn yuqtulu bishatt al-Furat. Qala: Hal laka an ushimaka min turbatih? Qala: Qultu: Na‘am. Famadda yadahu faqabaza qabzatan min turabin fa a‘taniha. falam amliku ‘ayni an fazata (A while ago [the Archangel] Gabriel left. He has informed me that indeed Husayn will be killed beside the River Euphrates. Then he [the Prophet] said: Do you like to smell part of his soil [where Imam Husayn (‘a) will be killed]. I said: Yes. He stretched his hand and taking a fistful of soil gave it to me. As a result, tears started rolling down uncontrollably from my eyes.)”1
And a tragedy and martyred imam AS mentioned before in the scriptures, in their historical texts:
Ibn 'Asakir narrated that a group of people went on an expedition to the lands of the Romans and found the following inscription in a church:
"Does a nation that killed Husayn expect to the intercession of his grandfather on the Day of Judgment?"
They asked the people there, "Who wrote this?" They replied, "This inscription has been here since before the advent of your Prophet by three hundred years."
Except a man from his progeny, al imam al mahdi AJ whom the holy Quran revealed about him:
They wish to extinguish Allah’s light1 with their mouths, but Allah will only allow His light to be perfected, even to the dismay of the disbelievers. (32) He is the One Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, making it prevail over all others, even to the dismay of the polytheists. (33) (al Tawbah)
And even their own tafseers admit this:
Al-Suddi said: That is when the Mahdi emerges, and there is no one left except that he entered Islam or paid the tribute (…) The authentic news has been repeated that the Mahdi is from the progeny of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him
And if Imam mahdi AJ is mentioned in the holy Quran then why not his grandfather imam Husayn AS, the son of the prophet SAWA:
"When this Ayah was revealed: 'Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women... (3:61)' the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called 'Ali, Fatimah, Hasan and Husain and said: 'O Allah! This is my family.'"
