Abul Hassan (AS), Ameer al Mu'mineen, sayyidul Wasieen, Qa'id al Ghurr al Muhajjalin, al Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib al Murtadha AS
1 The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets. 2 From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. 3 Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.
from Sa’eed bin Jubayr, that he said: Yazid bin Qa’nab said: I was sitting with Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib and a group from the sons of Abdul-‘Uzza opposite to the Sacred House of Allah as Fatima bin Asad, the mother of the Commander of the Believers, peace be upon him, and she was pregnant with him for nine months and was taken by labor pain, so she said: My Lord, I am a believer in You and in what has come from You of Messengers and Books, and indeed, I declare belief in the words of my grandfather, Ibrahim the Good Friend, and he, indeed, built the Old House. Hence, by the Prophet who built this House, and by the infant that is in my belly, please, ease for me my labor. Yazid bin Qa’nab said: Then we saw the House as it opened from behind, Fatima entered into it, she became absent from our eyes and the wall merged. Then we hoped for the door’s lock to open to us, and it did not open, and so we knew that this was by the commandment of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He. Then she went out after the fourth and in her hand was the Commander of the Believers, peace be upon him. Then she said: Indeed, I have been preferred over the women who have preceded me, because Asiya bint Muzahim worshipped Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He, secretly in a place in which Allah does not like to be worshipped except in urgency, and Mariam bint Imran shook the dry palm tree with her hand until she ate harvested dates from it. I, though, entered into the Sacred House of Allah and ate from the fruits and leaves of Paradise, and when I wanted to exit, a caller called to me: O Fatima, name him Ali, for he is Ali , and Allah, the All-High, the Most Subleme, says: His name is from My Name, disciplined him with My Discipline and gave him success to (comprehend) My Occult Knowledge, and he is the one to break the idols in My House, and he is the one to recite the Adhan above the roof of My House and sanctify Me and glorify Me. Hence, Tuba is for those who love him and obey him, and woe to those who hate him and disobey him.
4 He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people: 5 “Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” 6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice.
from Zurara from abu Ja‘far (a.s) about the words of Allah, the Most High. “When they see the torment approaching, the faces of the unbelievers will blacken and they will be told, “This is what you wanted to (experience)” (67:27). The Imam (a.s) said, “This was revealed about Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s) and his contemporaries who did what they to him. They will see Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s) in such a position that will make them envious. This will cause their faces to show miserable. It will be said to them, “This is the one whose title ‘Amir al-Mu’minin’ you had assumed.”
7 “Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel: I am God, your God. 8 I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me. 9 I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, 10 for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine. 12 If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. 13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
This wisdom can only be comprehended by the most wise:
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: “I am the City of Wisdom and `Ali is its Gate, so whoever wants the City must come to it by its Gate.” We have clarified and explained this favour, honour, pre-eminence, chosenness, and purity in a way that cannot be denied by a stubborn person; and praise be to Allah for that
14 “Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, 15 and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
It is related in Misbahul Anwar from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq that when the Commander of the Faithful ‘Ali put the sacred body of Fatimah in the grave he said, “In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. In the Name of Allah and by Allah, and upon the nation of the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad b. ‘Abdullah! O the honest one (referring to Fatimah)! I submit you to the one who is better than me, and am pleased upon what Allah has chosen for you.{From it (the earth) We created you, and into it will We return you.”}
16 But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips? 17 You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you. 18 When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers. 19 You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
“By Allah! The son of Abu Quhafah (Abu Bakr) dressed himself with it (the caliphate) and he certainly knew that my position in relation to it was the same as the position of the axis in relation to the hand-mill. He knew that the stream of wisdom and perfection that comes forth from the highlands flows through me and the birds of high flight even do not have the strength to reach the peak of my intelligence. Thus I released the mantle of caliphate and kept myself detached from it.
20 You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son. 21 When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you. 22 “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Ali Bin Ra’ab abd Yaqoub Al-Sarraaj who has said: Abu Abdullah (a.s) has narrated that: ‘Amir-ul-Momineen (a.s), when they had pledged allegiance to him (a.s) after the killing of Usman, ascended the Pulpit, so he (a.s) said: ‘Praise be to Allah (azwj) Who is High and thus all is in His (azwj) possession and He (azwj) is Closer than any in the view. And I (a.s) hereby testify that there is no god but Allah (azwj), One with no associates to Him (azwj), and I (a.s) testify that Muhammad ﷺ is His (azwj) servant and His (azwj) Messenger ﷺ, the last of the Prophets (a.s) and a Proof over the worlds, a ratification for the former Prophets (a.s) and was kind and merciful to the Believers. The Angels sent ‘salam’ greetings of peace upon him ﷺ and upon his ﷺ Progeny (a.s). Having said that, O you people! The transgression (indecency) places its owner into the Fire, and the first one to transgression (commit indecency) against Allah (azwj) Majestic is His (azwj) Remembrance was Onaq the daughter of Adam (a.s), and the first one who was killed, whom Allah (azwj) Killed was Onaq. And the area that she occupied when seated upon the ground measured one square acre (Jarib) of the land, and she had twenty fingers and on each of her fingers were two nails like two sickles. So Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic Made her to be overcome by a lion which was like an elephant (in size), and a wolf which was like a camel (in size), and an eagle like a mule (in size). So they killed her. And Allah (azwj) had Killed the tyrants in their best conditions, and gave Safety to those who used to be (oppressed). And He (azwj) Made Hannaan to die, and destroyed the Pharaoh (la), and He (azwj) has Killed Usman. Indeed! Your misfortunes have returned to what they were on the day Allah (azwj) Sent His (azwj) Prophet ﷺ. By the One (azwj) Who Sent him ﷺ by the truth, you will be confused with a (severe) confusion and be sifted with a (severe) sifting, and stirred and turned like the contents of a frying pan until your underside becomes your upper side and your upper side becomes your underside. The ones who used to be with the shortcomings will become the foremost ones, and those who used to be the foremost ones would become the people with shortcomings. By Allah (azwj)! I (a.s) have neither concealed, nor blocked, nor lied a lie, and I (a.s) have been foretold about this place and this day. Indeed! And the sins are like uncontrollable horses which carry its riders, with its harnesses removed, plunging into the Fire. Indeed! And the piety is like a humble ride which takes its rider, along with its rein, to the Paradise, and its Doors will be opened up for them, and they will find its aroma and goodness. And it will be said to them: ‘Enter it in peace and security’. Indeed! The ones who had no association with it has preceded me (a.s) to this command (Caliphate), and the ones to whom it had not been Granted to, and the ones for whom there was no chance from it except if they were to be Prophets (a.s) who had been Sent. And indeed! There is no Prophet (a.s) to be after Muhammad ﷺ who is more noble than him (a.s) over the intercession on the brink of the Fire. So they will fall with by it (their lies) in the Fire of Hell. Truth as well as falsehood, for each of them are its people. The matter of falsehood is a very old one and has been active. And if the truth is less (in practice) it is because of ‘if’ and ‘maybe’. And it is rare that if a thing gone away comes back, and if your command (Caliphate) returns to you, you would be pleased, and it is not on me (a.s) except for the striving, and I (a.s) am afraid that you all will end up being on the nature of your nation (away) from me (a.s), the nation that you were in beforehand and would not have a praiseworthy opinion in my (a.s) sight, and if I (a.s) so desire to I (a.s) would say: ‘May Allah (azwj) Forgive what was in the past’. Two men preceded me (a.s) with regards to it (Caliphate), and the third one stood up like the Raven. His main concern was his stomach. Woe be unto him! Had his wings been clipped and his head cut-off, it would have been better for him. He was distracted from the Paradise and the Hell was in front of him. Three and two make five, there is no sixth of them – An Angel who files by his wings, and a Prophet (a.s) whom Allah (azwj) has Grabbed by his (a.s) shoulders (Given him Divine Status), and a diligent seeker (momin), and a hopeful student, and a reducer (Muqassir) are in the Fire. The right and the left are misleading, whereas the middle path is the street on which you will come across the Book and the effects of the Prophet-hood. Destroyed is the one who makes a claim, and disillusioned is the one who fabricates that Allah (azwj) Disciplined this community by the sword and the whip, and there is no leniency for either of them with the Imam (a.s). So, hide in your homes and mend your relationships in between yourselves and the repentance is behind you all. The one who turned his cheek (opposed the Imam (a.s)) to the truth is destroyed.
23 Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”
Then, he wept, so I said: O Messenger of Allah! What has caused you to weep? So, he said: O Ali! I weep over the trespassing that will occur against you during this month. It is as though I am with you and you are praying to your Lord, when the most wretched of the former and latter peoples – the brother of the one who slaughtered the she-camel of Thamud – strikes you upon the side of your head, from which your beard will be dyed. Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s) said: So, I said: O Messenger of Allah! Will I be at peace with my religion? So, he said: You will be at peace with your religion. Then, he (s) said: O Ali! Whoever kills you has killed me, whoever angers you has angered me, and whoever insults you has insulted me, because you are from me like my own self. Your spirit is from my spirit and your clay is from my clay. Surely, Allah created me and you, chose me and you, selected me for prophethood, and selected you for Imamate – so, whoever denies your Imamate has denied my prophethood. O Ali! You are my deputy, the father of my descendants, the husband of my daughter, and my vicegerent over my Nation in my lifetime and after my death. Your order is my order, and your prohibition is my prohibition. I swear by Him who sent me with prophethood and made me the best of people, you are the Proof of Allah over His creation, His trustee over His secret, and His vicegerent over His servants.
The reporter said, ‘The doors of the central Masjid flapped, and the Angels clamoured in the sky with the supplications, and there descended a stormy wind, black, dark, and Jibraeel-as called out between the sky and the earth with a voice, all the ones awake heard it: ‘By Allah azwj! The pillars of guidance have been demolished, and effaced! By Allah azwj! The stars in the sky and the flags of piety are blurred! By Allah azwj! The firmest handhold, son asws of an uncle-as of Al-Mustafa saww has been killed! The Selected successor asws has been killed! Ali asws Al-Murtaza asws has been killed! By Allah azwj! Chief of the successors-as has been killed. The most wretched of the wretched ones has killed him asws!
