29 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah. 30 For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation.
The Son of Man refers to imam Mahdi AJ as stated in my previous posts
31 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the people of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom; and now something greater than Solomon is here.
It is narrated that Syeda Narjis SA said:
She replies to him in Arabic: Even if you come in the form of Sulaiman, the son of Dawood and with a kingdom like his, I will not be interested in you. So, save your money.
And also the story of syeda Narjis SA is very similar to the story of Balqis RA (who is mentioned in this verse)
32 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and now something greater than Jonah is here.
Perhaps the reason prophet Jesus AS specifically mentioned prophet Jonah/Yunus AS due to the similar experience Imam mahdi AJ will have with the people of Nineveh (which is another name for Karbala)
So if the Qa’im left Karbala and went to Najaf, and the people are around him , he kills sixteen thousand jurists between Karbala and Najaf, then the hypocrites around him would say that he was not the son of Fatima, otherwise he would have mercy on them. When he enters Najaf and stays there for one night, then he exits through Bab Al-Nakhila, parallel to the tomb of Hud and Salih, he will be met by seventy thousand men from the people of Kufa who wanted to kill him, so he kills them all, and none of them would be saved
