Exercise 1: The commercial consultant
A client wants to improve business performance. Calculate the cost of the problem, the potential value of solving it, your fee and the client's potential return.
Exercise 2: The five-minute strategy
Take a vague business complaint and turn it into a clear problem statement, a proposed intervention and three measurable success indicators.
Exercise 3: The rainmaker conversation
Practise opening a conversation with a prospective client, asking discovery questions, identifying a business need and agreeing on a next step.
Exercise 4: The executive proposal
Write a short proposal that explains the problem, the financial or operational impact, the solution, the investment and how success will be measured.
Exercise 5: The 60-second credibility video
Record a short introduction that demonstrates expertise and gives a prospective client a compelling reason to start a conversation.
Exercise 6: The difficult client
Respond to a fee objection, an unrealistic deadline or a client who challenges your recommendation. Practise influencing without becoming defensive.
