The TripSaver II is a dropout mounted recloser that provides protection of laterals at 15kV and 25kV. When a fault occurs, this Smart Grid solution eliminates momentary outages for customers on the main feeder by only momentarily interrupting the affected laterals. This self-powered, electronically controlled, singlephase vacuum fault interrupter is available for installation in new or existing current-production S&C or MacLean Power Systems Type XS Fuse dropout mountings.
