Overview
This course provides the power plant electrician with sound knowledge and competence in the theory and practice of the industrial electrical practices of power generating plants. It covers conventional fossil fuel plants with boilers and steam turbines, gas turbines, combined cycle and diesel engine plants. The course covers plant safety procedures, shop and field safety practices, job planning, electrical tools and their functions, measurement procedures, installation and maintenance practices, troubleshooting procedures.
