Lube oil analysis is that activity in the reliability management of rotating equipment whereby their lubrication oils are periodically analyzed to detect changes in the quality and properties of the fluid.
This course provides comprehensive knowledge in the theory and practice of lube oil analysis and their applications in power generating plants. It covers types and applications of lubrication oils, lubrication management programs, basic lube oil inspection and quality checks, laboratory analysis and reliability and economic implications of oil analysis programs.
