Overview
This course provides the power plant welder with sound knowledge and competence in the theory and practice of the industrial welding practices of power generating plants. It covers conventional fossil fuel plants with boilers and steam turbines, gas turbines, combined cycle and diesel engine plants. The course covers plant safety procedures, shop and field safety practices, job planning, hand and power tools, welding and cutting equipment and procedures, brazing equipment and methods.
