Overview

Infrared Thermography Inspection is used in the reliability management of mechanical and electrical equipment. The infrared signals generated by mechanical and electrical equipment in the plants allows for non-contact temperature measurements and thus gives information on their health.

This course provides knowledge in the theory and practice of infrared thermography inspections and analysis and their applications in power generating plants. It covers the equipment in the plants that are analyzed, safety procedures, infrared testing equipment and setups, data gathering and analysis methods, and the economic implications of the infrared thermography analysis program.
