External Description : KDAG is aimed at bringing Data Analytics and Machine Learning enthusiasts together under the umbrella of a single society. The group holds selections each year and conducts workshops and helps assimilate analytics skills in the students. - M
Internal Description : In KDAG (Kharagpur Data Analytics Group), IIT Kharagpurâs official student body for data science and machine learning, you will be engaged deeply with real-world analytics problems and advanced research-oriented work. You get a chance to participate and organise technical workshops, industry-led talks, and it organises Indiaâs largest student-run data science hackathon named as Kharagpur Data Science Hackathon (KDSH) and also organises an internship programme named as ChiSquare. The groupâs collaborative environment, combined with rigorous peer mentoring and curated resources, allowing you to explore complex domains such as statistical modelling, deep learning, and algorithmic optimization.

External Description : Grimoire of Code, abbreviated as GoC, is IIT Kharagpur's competitive programming club involving a group of passionate competitive programmers. The club conducts global and intra-campus competitive programming contests, and workshops for students on campus, fostering the competitive programming culture within IIT Kharagpur. - M
Internal Description : Grimoire of Code is the Competitive Programming Club of IIT Kharagpur. We are open to all departments and promote the culture of Competitive Programming (CP) in the college. We conduct the Competitive Programming Workshop which helps people of all levels improve their skills (open for all). We also conduct a CP Mentor-Mentee program where you can get a mentor to help you with all your CP related doubts and overall guidance. The flagship event is the CDC series which is a series of 7-8 weekly contests held during the summers to help people prepare for their CDC Online Assessments (i.e. coding tests for internships/placements). We also conduct the lockout contest which is a 1v1 cp contest.
As a member of the club, you get to network with the best competitive programmers on campus, learn from them and get a hand at problem-setting. There is minimal load in the club.

External Description : A society built around helping students learn about newer information based technologies. They hosted deKodeX, a narrative based competitive programming contest, that had over 700 student participating in it. They also maintain PDS_bank, a collections of questions in Prog & Data Structures course. - U
Internal Description :Â A student-run society that aims to spread awareness and educate students about the potential of Web 3.0 and future technologies. We host workshops and hackathons to give students hands-on experience with Blockchain Development and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, we use our skills in web development and blockchain to work on real-world problems faced by the student community at IIT Kharagpur and beyond. External Description : Quant Club, IIT KGP is a student body that aims at increasing the awareness of Quantitative Finance. - M
Internal Description : Join us for learning about all things Quant! We host workshops and provide modules for all our members, to help them go from a complete beginner in the market, to a maestro in its intricacies. We also host internal competitions (like Paper Trading comps) and more. One of our biggest events for all, member and non-member alike, is Summer of Quant : A simple but helpful course to teach all the basics needed to start your journey in Quantitative Finance.

Internal Description : We are a community of open-source enthusiasts at IIT Kharagpur. KOSS members enthusiastically work on cutting-edge coding projects, from solving practical issues to having fun while encouraging one another's development and skill. We hold annual events introducing students to Linux, UNIX technologies, and the Git Development Workflow, fostering a culture of technological exploration and knowledge-sharing. We are not a GSOC guidance or training community.

External Description : Technology Robotix Society conducts activities and projects related to robotics in the campus. With its reach expanding steadily each year, it has also cemented its position as one of the nerve centres of amateur robotics in India. - M
Internal Description : This soc is for robotics enthusiasts who want to learn with like minded people, and work on competitions. It hosts events for the upliftment of tech and robotics in the campus. Some of the major events are Kraig 101 and Kraig 201 which are basic robotics essentials for all, and Winterschool where you spend 1 week in detailed learning in the vertical of robotics of your choice, and Makerspace where you work on bots along with other people, among others.
