Given the abundance of question in regards to the documents needed during admission, this page was created!
Based on the 2024 checklist (which we were provided during admission), these are the requirements for you to have in-person. All required documents should be original, with 2 photocopies for submission.
Self-Attested copy of the ERP Profile : Once you have frozen your choice (or end of 6th round), you will get a mail giving access to ERP (See ERP - The College Portal for more info) in 2-3 days. Fill the required information, and once done, take a print-out of the ERP profile, and sign it.
Final Course Allotment Letter from JoSAA 2025 : Available after freezing/6th round and paying the seet acceptance fee.
Admit Card of JEE (Advanced) 2025.
Undertaking Form - Original, and signed by both guardian & student. Annex-3 of Undertaking Docs.
Medical Certificate : Preferably KGP style. Annex-1 of Undertaking Docs. (Some people used their JoSAA style last year without issues, but we haven't been able to verify if it wil work out this time.
Class X marksheet OR Birth Certificate : For proof of Date of Birth.
MarkSheet & Certificate of passing qualifying (12th exam) : Both are the same for CBSE (Marksheet cum Certificate).
Aadhar Card.
3 Passport Photos (just in case).
Fees Acknowledgment.
Migrations Certificate & Transfer Certificate if applicable : (Usually only for state boards & stuff, but regardless try and get to be safe).
Caste/Category Certificate if applicable (includes EWS).
PwD certificate if applicable.
Passport/OCI/POI ID if applicable
Defence Certificate if applicable.
Additionally, you might have to submit the migration certificate online too.
Also, the extra forms you will have to fill out (if applicable) for IITKGP are available here : Undertaking Docs
Basically the receipt of the Fees paid by you. Typically it will be the full fees, but the JoSAA Seat Acceptance Fees Receipt is also fine.
This hasn't been verified with admin yet (10th July 2025), but given that many people will avail loans after coming to campus, I don't think so it's a requirement for you to have the full fees receipt => Hence why JoSAA Seat Acceptance Fees Receipt is also fine.
If you're from CBSE, the marksheet you get for your Boards are both a Certificate for passing 12th, and the marksheet. Verify this by checking if the phrase "Certificate cum Marksheet" is written at the top of your document. Feel free to submit both of them.
Other boards often given two different documents -> A certificate & marksheet, which is why IITKGP asks you to submit both,
Likely, but this isn't confirmed yet (We are trying to get it confirmed officially, as of 10th July 2025).
If possible, we would recommend you to get one more medical certificate in the format given by IITKGP, since that would ensure no issues at all.
That being said, some people did manage with the JoSAA format alone last year, and I don't think the IITKGP admin will be extremely strict in regards to this, but please try to get IITKGP style, until we confirm no issues.
