Link for IITKGP Fees on JOSAA websiteA The data has been collected from that site, and our (2nd year) payments. These are subject to change.
This is the tentative fee structure given on JOSAA's website for 1st year students for Sem-1 2025.
Note that part of the seat acceptance fee (Amount Paid - 5k For JoSAA processing fee = 25k or 10k) will go towards your college fees, and the amount you will have to pay will be less that amount.
This was the Fees structure for the spring semester of 2025. This will likely change next year.
This was the Fees structure for the autumn semester of 2024 with no waivers. This is for reference, and please see the above section for current fees.
That is, how do you pay this?
Payment Instructions : As given on the college portal.
You have the option of paying the fees either as a lump-sum amount when the fees portal opens up, or via instalments. The nature or amount of instalments is unverified as of 21st June. Once information comes, this will be updated.
Please ensure to update your family income certificate (& other relevant certificates) before paying your fees. Any available waiver should be automatically applied within a few days, and you can pay your fees after that.
If you paid your fees before your family income declaration certificate was updated in the college system, you have the option to revise your fees in the college portal. You will be required to update your certificate, and fill out a revision form, and to the best of my knowledge, any extra amount paid will be put as credit in your account for future semester payments (Unsure if it will be reimbursed to your bank account).
IITKGP has partnered with a bunch of different banks to provide student loans. The current interest rate is ____ .
All the necessary information will be there with the banking partners, and they can guide you through this. Do check out multiple banks to ensure you are well-informed
[Do note that if your family income is below 9LPA, no interest on your tuition amount alone will be collected for the first 5 years. Please check this document for the fine print (IMPORTANT).]
You can avail the option of student loans from banks inside campus (See Banks in IITKGP), or from your own bank outside of campus (if available), or from banks who have set up shop purely for financing student loans.
Please check out Payment Instructions pg 4-6 for details on how to pay if you have taken out student loan.
