Antinanco Earth Arts School is a coalition of teachers and community leaders committed to preserving and providing public access to traditional and indigenous knowledge, and providing education beyond the classroom walls through nature experiences, hands-on projects, multi-generational mentorships, cultural exchange programs and environmental conservation projects.
Among other things, we teach practical earth-based skills, arts, mindfulness, primitive arts, re-wilding, non-conflict resolution, emotional empowerment and team building. We provide and promote all types of education about the Earth and its inhabitants and ecosystems, educating about the impact of our actions on the natural resource stability.
We believe that people learn more effectively in settings in which knowledge can be applied, analyzed and tested. Our classes take place outdoors: in nature; in marine settings; art expos and museums; environmental centers; homeschooling settings; as well as in the form of retreats, traveling clinics and conferences. We also offer live and recorded classes and lectures through our integrated web platform, and panel discussion forums and circles. We hold periodic community exchange gatherings to promote effective dialogue between students, parents and teachers.
Our teachers are passionate and dedicated individuals whose personal and professional journeys are driven by the mission to bring educational value to their communities and provide education in functional, integrative and compassionate ways. Our teachers' methodologies allow our School to provide a unique framework for developing holistic and transformative learning for our students. The goal is to allow the students to see the connection between integrated parts of the whole, the relationship between linear thinking and intuition, mind and body, individual and community, nature and ourselves, and between various domains of knowledge.
We offer live and web-based educational experiences for children and adults. Classes range from one or multi-day programs to support a broad spectrum of objectives, from acquiring an additional set of skills or experiencing new environments, to engaging in studies as part of academic curriculum. We also provide apprenticeship programs led by children. Traveling programs are also offered.
