Within nine days un November 1968 Graham George William Nicholson won two races on the four-year-old filly Jo’s Jet, but there were no more victories after that.

Trained by Peter Green at Gunthorpe, Nottinghamshire, Jo’s Jet had run ten times in the 1967/68 season without winning and had already been unsuccessful in six starts in 1968/69, although she had been placed in her last two with Graham in the saddle.

At Windsor on November 13, 1968, she finally got her head in front when taking the Bray Selling Handicap Hurdle. She was a fortunate winner, being left in front at the last flight by the fall of the clear leader Hook It.

Graham and Jo’s Jet followed up at Doncaster on November 22, landing the Fitzwilliam Selling Hurdle by a length and a half. Again, their cause may have been helped by the falls of leading pair Madon Blue and Rakell at the third last flight.

Although Graham kept the ride, they were unplaced in three subsequent starts. He rode no more winners and relinquished his licence in April 1971.
