Edward Tudor

Edward Patrick Tudor, aged 25, fell with Royal Canal at Windsor on Feb 27th 1918, dying of his injuries on March 15 that year.


He was in hospital (mostly conscious) for three weeks before dying of peritonitis.


He left a widow and a one-year-old son. He was buried in Lewes.


Edward had only just ridden his first winner: Royal Canal at Windsor on January 30th, 1918.


On March 1, 1916, at Lewes Register Office, Edward, aged 23, married Florence May Trigwell, aged 20. The address given on their marriage certificate was 6, Nevill Road, St Anne's, Lewis.
