Crystal's Study Abroad Workshop
March 29, 2018
After returning from her study aboard trip to China, Crystal shared with us her study aboard journey. Before showing us her experience, she had to tell us about her application process. She covered daunting issues like money and sometimes our parents. She created a list of scholarships and advice for those who are interested in study aboard. She had to write many essays, talk to many people and planned accordingly to have the chance to study aboard.
Every study aboard opportunity is a unique one, and Crystal's was not any different. She made friends, one which she continues to talk to, woke up in hotels surrounded by lush gardens, studied in a bullet train, prayed to Buddha, visited a museum hosting Emperor Qin's Terra Cotta Army, and many more. Her experiences seem very educational and enjoyable, which sparked some participant's interest in study aboard.
To some, the most important part of this presentation was her last slide, which showed how much she had to pay. Crystal paid around 300 bucks for her three weeks in China. If her experience did not convince you to study aboard, then the money will guide you there. Crystal's study aboard experience shows that with hard work anything is possible.
