Students had the chance to take part in what many city kids rarely do; they hike a trail in the forest. The wilderness gave the students a time to enjoy beautiful scenery while giving them an escape from the fast pace life style of the city. Unfortunately, it rained the day before, and mud replaced the dirt. Students spent immense effort trying to keep their shoes clean from this mud. Although, there was mud in the student's path, they all found a way to complete the trail.
Students stumbled into Princeton's bookstore after enjoying a meal in the city of Princeton.
Student toured Princeton University, one of the most prestigious college in the world, and its art museum. In this tour, the students heard about the 100 page research papers senior must write. Although, intimidating at first, the tour guide assured us that Princeton will educated us well enough to write the 100 pages.
To conclude the trip, student enjoyed a day at Six flag. While the point of the trip was to understand how physics is applied in amusement parks, many student took this as a opportunity to distress. Staff seemed to enjoy the amusement park too. This trip was an extension of two physic workshops hosted by ISY's participants, so all student who attended this trip were then asked to write a reflection on how physics applied to roller coasters. Who knew the knowledge taught in school can be applicable to the fun activities we do?
