College application starts in the fall, but it's never too early to start touring colleges! What's a better college to tour than New York City's own Columbia University? ISY participants had the opportunity to see what the beautiful campus had to offer and what it takes to be a serious applicant for Columbia University.
To start off the day, ISY participants attended a panel, where one of Columbia University's admission's officers explained the University's majors and minors briefly. Then, people attending the college panel were allowed to ask questions regarding majors/minors, early-decision, and dorming.
Afterwards, ISY participants were led by a current Colombia University student around the marvelous campus. On this tour, they got to see the top-notch libraries, facilities, dining halls, and dorms. To add on, the tour guide told stories regarding her Columbia University experience.
Even though the time visiting Columbia University was limited, this tour was quite impressive to many ISY participants. Hopefully, this trip convinced many of the Juniors at ISY to apply for Columbia University in the fall. In conclusion, the University has a very grand reputation and this tour did not fail one-bit in trying to uphold our expectations!
Here is what ISY participants who attended the trip have to say!
