Luncheon

June 28, 2018

CPC's annual Youth Luncheon was definitely a great one and lived up to it's stellar expectations. This year's youth luncheon took place at an Italian restaurant named Carmines. Carmines provided both great food and service, which allowed the luncheon to be as enjoyable as possible. It was time for ISY participants and CPC staff to recognize the hard-work and dedication they showed this year in ISY. Also, this allowed the participants in CPC Manhattan's ISY to meet the other In-School Youths across NYC. To add on, the atmosphere was both laid-back and friendly, participants and staff were enjoying themselves and socializing with their peers.

The food provided at the luncheon was top-notch and satisfied everybody's appetite. The restaurant served fried calamari as an appetizer. Then, spaghetti and meatballs, and penne alla vodka were served. Followed by Chicken Scarparjello as the entree. After, the dessert was strawberry shortcake with pistachio. The menu had much variety to fit everybody's needs. Everyone was content and grateful for the meal provided by the restaurant and CPC.

After the meal, ISYs across NYC had representatives share their ISY experiences from this years ISY school year. CPC Manhattan had Dillon Cheang, Karen Li, and Andy Ho speak on behalf of their ISY peers. The speeches given by the speakers showed how much of an impact ISY has had on the participants this school year. Speakers shared how ISY allowed them to become more "open" and social with other people. While, others mentioned how ISY's workshops allowed them to prepare for college life and even improve their current high school careers. It helped everyone at the luncheon realize how great a program In-School Youth was. Adding on, this was one of the last ISY events of the year and was a great way to cap-off a great ISY year. Seniors going to college got the chance to enjoy their last ISY luncheon, while juniors can't wait until the next one!
