Isaiah 55:8-11
God's Thoughts and God's Ways
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Matthew 6:9-13
The LORD's Prayer
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
Man's thoughts and reasoning and logic apply to our earthly knowledge and what we know through what we have learned and what we have experienced...God’s thoughts and God’s Ways are not like ours...God does not conform to and with man's ways...He is Spirit...God remains the Absolute Truth as we each struggle to decide what our own personal truth and truths are...
Rain and snow come down from heaven and then they return to the heavens...An the rain and snow water the earth, making the buds and blossoms flourish...Like the rain from the heavens God's Word, God's Bible does not reign empty from His mouth...God's Word will accomplish what He desires, and not necessary what man desires...God's Word has purpose and meaning...God's Word is Truth and achieves the purpose for what He has spoken...God's Will gets done on earth as it does in heaven...
