God's Will Will Be Done on Earth As It Is In Heaven
9 "This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.

God's Thoughts and God's Ways
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
When ask by His Disciples how they should pray Jesus included this in His answer...God's will - will be done on earth as it is in heaven...So, since God is in heaven doing His will there, we can now believe that God is doing His will on earth, because Jesus has told us this...So let us pray this way, that our fate and lives on earth be done in and according to God's will...So God is not ignoring us on earth, even though we sometimes might think when we are trouble that He is hiding or not answering our prayers...He really is not...Instead, He is doing His will on earth, which we will not always understand...God will accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose in His Ways and His Thoughts...
Theologist John Calvin wrote about this, “But if God has set His seat in the sanctuary of the heavens in order to rule the universe, it follows that He by no means ignores earthly affairs, but controls them with the highest reason and wisdom.”...
