Isaiah 46:3-4
God is Aways With Us
3 “Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob,
all the remnant of the people of Israel,
you whom I have upheld since your birth,
and have carried since you were born.
4 Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Our Father will always be with us no matter our age...Aging is part of life, so growing old is part of our lives...And we always seen about the same age in our minds and thoughts...It does not matter how old you are when are aging in years, but it is more important how you live and what you do in your aging years...In our older years, our Father will carry us to safety...
Scripture tells us different things about the aging process...Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone...Old age with wisdom will crown you with dignity and honor, for it takes a lifetime of righteousness to acquire it...Is not wisdom found among the aged?...Does not long life bring understanding?...And I will still be carrying you when you are old...Your hair will turn gray, and I will still carry you...I made you, and I will carry you to safety...Therefore we do not lose heart...Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day...Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past...Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you...Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”...For it is not wise to ask such questions...Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you...He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak...but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength...They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint...Even when I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God...Let me live to tell the people of this age what Your strength has accomplished, to tell about Your power to all who will come...Your righteousness reaches to the heavens, O God...You have done great things...O God, who is like You?...You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I AM the LORD...My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity...
