Isaiah 55:8-11
God's Plans and Thoughts Are Not the Same as Ours
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
God's Plans are such a mystery and wonder...There are many things we wonder about God...I wonder sometimes about how sin separates us from Him...Our personal sins separates us from God...We may also wonder why God is not more clear and remains hidden to us much of the time as we listen for Him...Does our sins cause this?...But we may also wonder why He had His Son die on the cross for our sins...We know our sins caused this...
When we study these things and wonder why He just doesn’t just come out and speak to us one on one or does not speak to groups directly, let us wonder why Someone would have their Son die for sins that we committed and not Himself or His Son...We can surely see that His Thoughts are not our thoughts...And His Ways are not our ways...How does our sins fit in all these and other questions concerning God?...
