Isaiah 46:8-13
God's Plan and Purpose Get Don on Earth as it Does in Heaven
8 "Remember this, fix it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say: My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that will I bring about;
what I have planned, that will I do.
12 Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted,
you who are far from righteousness.
13 I am bringing my righteousness near,
it is not far away;
and my salvation will not be delayed.
I will grant salvation to Zion,
my splendor to Israel.
The LORD is near us; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God...And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus...
C.S. Lewis is often attributed as saying, prayer “doesn’t change God. It changes me.”...Lewis knew that God is always in control of all things and writes about it and prayer...Since God's Will always gets done, Lewis talks about that topic...In his book The Grand Miracle, Lewis writes: Praying for particular things,’ said I, ‘always seems to me like advising God how too run the world...Wouldn’t it be wiser to assume that He knows best?’...‘On the same principle’, said he, ‘I suppose you never ask a man next to you to pass the salt, because God knows best whether you ought to have salt or not...And I suppose you never take an umbrella, because God knows whether you ought to be wet or dry.’...‘That’s quite different,’ I protested...‘I don’t see why,’ said he...‘The odd thing is that He should let us influence the course of events at all...But since He lets us do it in one way I don’t see why He shouldn’t let us do it in the other.’...
Jesus set the perfect example of prayer...He often went to a solitary place and prayed...Jesus told His Disciples to watch and pray, that they may not enter into temptation...Let us also pray that we shall not enter temptation...We to pray to communicate with Him...God always listens to what we pray...And sometimes He answers prayers immediately and other times He gives us guidance...Sometimes He chooses not to answer immediately or in the way we might have hoped for and time passes and we forget about our original prayer and have moved on to something else...God wants us to communicate with Him...So prayer is a communication with our Father to find peace...
If you believe that God's Will gets done on earth as it does in heaven then nothing that happens is random or comes by chance, especially when you have a strong faith...God has a purpose for all things...That means that over time God will resolve to do things that in His Plan...God has resolved to do what He will do, and nothing and no one stands in His way...God's Will and Purpose will get done...God's Purpose will stand and He will do what is right and is in His Will and Plan...And all the time and while, we know that God is LOVE...Which gives us Great Hope when we are troubled and things seem to going against us...
