Job 3:13-19
Trust in the LORD
13 “Keep silent and let me speak;
then let come to me what may.
14 Why do I put myself in jeopardy
and take my life in my hands?
15 Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;
I will surely defend my ways to his face.
16 Indeed, this will turn out for my deliverance,
for no godless man would dare come before him!
17 Listen carefully to my words;
let your ears take in what I say.
18 Now that I have prepared my case,
I know I will be vindicated.
19 Can anyone bring charges against me?
If so, I will be silent and die.
Isaiah 26:4
Trust in the LORD
4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.
When Job pleas to the LORD, he tells the LORD though You may slay me, yet I will hope in the LORD...Job hoped and trusted in the LORD...God may want our trust in Him, even more than how we understand and what we know of Him...Trusting in Him, seems to be more important than understanding Him...God wants us to trust Him first, and since He is so wise and complex our understanding of Him is not quite as important as trusting in our Father...
When God comes out of the storm we see He does not answer any questions that Job has ask...God throws question after question at Job, that Job has no answers for...Job understands that he does not understand God...We are to trust in the LORD forever...Trust must go beyond our understanding...
