HOUSING
Before you leave campus:
If you are studying abroad for one semester, you may need to sublease your Champaign-Urbana apartment or find a sublease for the semester you will be on campus.
Post on the study abroad housing board. (This link also can be found on the IAGE website under "Support Resources.")
Use this housing board to find a semester sublease for yourself or to advertise your sublease to incoming exchange students.
In Vienna
IiVP facilitates double- and single-occupancy housing for confirmed Illinois in Vienna Programs participants in two dormitory facilities. The housing quality in both is comparable and the price is the same for double- and single-occupancy rooms (around $2,400/semester). It takes approximately 30 minutes by public transportation to get from both locations to the WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business--Program Office site and location of some course instruction) and other campuses. Students may request a specific roommate, but requests are not guaranteed.

• If you wish to consider independent housing options in Vienna, please start searching immediately after acceptance to the program and ensure that your future housing providers are willing to sign a contract and a municipal form (Meldezettel) for your registration in Vienna. Proof of accommodation (contract, Airbnb booking confirmation, etc.) is required for your pre-departure visa application in Chicago. If you choose this independent housing option, it is not necessary to pay a program fee for housing. You will cover the housing cost independently.
